XY2/XY4 (krut/smyk)
XY2 and XY4 torsion/shear strain gauges with 2 measuring grids for torsion bar measurements and shear stress measurements.
XY2 and XY4 series strain gauges have V-shaped grids - they are therefore strain gauges (SGS) with 2 measuring systems arranged at 45° to the strain gauge axis. Typical applications are measurements on torsion bars and determination of shear stresses.
A wide range of geometries is available with different nominal (rated) resistances (120, 350, 700 ohms) and temperature self-compensation for different materials (7 options for different materials - see strain gauge catalogue).
The measuring grid is made of constantan. The material of the measuring grid carrier is polyimide.
Strain gauges with output cable - XY4 are also available.
