U15
U15: Precision strain gauge for calibrating forces from 2.5kN up to 1MN.
The precision load cell U15 (reference force sensor) reliably measures tensile and compressive forces up to 1 MN. It is ideal for use as a master transducer in calibration machines, for demanding tasks on test sets and as a transmission standard (e.g. for verification or calibration of material testing machines).
The advantage is the very low displacement (deformation) of the sensor at nominal load. The U15's high resolution, excellent signal-to-noise ratio and low measurement uncertainty are based on the high output signal of the sensor (>4mV/V from 25kN). This allows optimum use of the subsequent measuring range of the electronics.
U15 meets the requirements of Class 0.5 in accordance with ISO 376. Its radially symmetrical design makes the sensor insensitive to temperature gradients. The precision load cell U15 is very robust due to its high IP67 protection rating and the use of stainless steel materials.
