TN

TN: follow-up torque standard.

The TN torque transducer is a sensor for non-rotating applications specifically designed as a reference transducer or as a follow-up portable standard for metrology laboratories. It meets the most demanding requirements for accuracy and stability.

It is usually part of the equipment national metrology institutes as well as higher precision oriented industrial calibration laboratories, primarily as a reference for comparing the measurement properties of lever and weight based torque calibration systems and secondarily as a fixed mounted reference sensor in calibration laboratories. If ordered with a DKD calibration certificate, a class 0.05 according to DIN51309 is guaranteed. In the version TOP transfer standard its properties exceed the requirements of the class mentioned.

In order to perfectly meet and monitor all conditions required for calibration, the TN sensor can be extended with a temperature and bending moment measurement channel. It is also possible to order a second strain gauge bridge to increase the stability of the torque reading.
