Strain gauge torque transducer T210: Torque measurement up to 200 N.m.

The T210 torque sensor is equipped with a precision measuring system that provides contactless transmission of the measured torque value, including contactless power supply to the rotor. Furthermore, the sensor is equipped with an incremental speed sensor. The value of the measured torque force is converted to a voltage and frequency output. These features make the T210 torque transducer suitable for universal use and is often found in end-use applications or in development test facilities. The cylindrical shaft end allows for easy integration. Thanks to the standardized design, almost all existing equipment can be effortlessly equipped with this transducer.

T210 series sensors can be connected to the interface TIM-PN a TIM-EC for communication in PROFINET or EtherCAT networks. The TIM-PN/EC modules allow easy integration of this sensor into existing infrastructures based on PROFINET and EtherCAT networks. The TIM module also allows you to work with the measured quantities in real time and thus to get an overview of, for example, the rotation speed (including direction), the rotation angle (including direction) or the current performance of the machine.

New speed and angle measurement system: The measuring system now has 512 pulses per revolution. As with the T21WN, two rectangular 5 V signals offset by 90° are available for measuring the rotation angle. Each of these signals can be used to measure rotational speed. In addition, a reference signal with 1 pulse per revolution is available to facilitate measurement at high speeds. The option to increase the signal level up to 24 V is no longer available.

Possibility to exchange for a sensor T21WN in terms of size: The length and width are the same for each measuring range. The height of the T210 is slightly taller - however, for most applications space is not critical in this regard. The pattern of mounting holes on the bottom and measurement side is identical. However, the T210 does not have mounting holes on the drive side.

Possibility to exchange for a sensor T21WN  in terms of electrical connection: The socket and plug used are identical. The pin order is very similar and is chosen so that the cables already in use can be used with the T210.

Comparison of output signals versus sensor T21WN: The frequency output (10 kHz ±5 kHz) and the voltage output (±10 V) behave essentially the same. Direct replacement should not cause problems in most applications.
