RY (rose)

The RY strain gauges are a suitable choice for the analysis of biaxial strain with unknown principal strain directions.

Rosette type RY always containing 3 measuring grids in the arrangement 0°/45°/90° (RY1, RY3, RY8, RY9, RY10) or 0°/60°/120° (RY4, RY7).

HBM offers a large selection of different geometries and sizes, each available with a nominal (rated) resistance of 120 or 350 ohms and with temperature self-compensation for steel, aluminium or according to customer requirements (7 options for different materials - see strain gauge catalogue).

All three grids of the strain gauge are ready for connection as a quarter bridge.

The measuring grid is made of constantan. The material of the measuring grid carrier is polyamide.

There are also strain gauges equipped with output cable - RY6, RY8.
