C Series (extreme temperatures)
C-Series strain gauges are designed for use at extreme temperatures.
The use of special materials in the manufacture of the C-Series strain gauges has enabled the strain gauges to be used over a wide temperature range from -269 °C to +250 °C. The corresponding temperature compensation is available in the temperature range -200 °C to +250 °C.
Types LC1 and LC6 are linear strain gauges for measuring voltage in one direction.
The XC1 type is a rosette with 0°/90° grids for measuring biaxial strain with a known principal strain direction.
Type RC1 is a rose with 0°/45°/90° geometry for measuring the strain at unknown main voltage direction.
C Series strain gauges are available with nominal resistance of 120 and 350 ohms. Temperature self-compensation is for steel or to customer requirements (7 options for different materials - see strain gauge catalog).
