QuantumX MXFS: Integrating optical and electrical measurements into one reliable system

QuantumX MXFS makes optical measurements easy, flexible and competitive - whatever your needs. It gives you all the optical advantages of BraggMETER technology: suitable for measuring large measurement networks composed of different types of sensors, high stress and high fatigue resistance, reliable and high-quality remote measurement, cost reduction and much more.

With the new MXFS BraggMETER (interrogator), up to 16 Fiber Bragg Grating sensors can be connected to each of the eight optical connectors in series - with parallel acquisition. The new fiber optic sensing device thus offers an impressive 128 channels per module with simultaneous sensing, and not only with sensors from the newLight!

The advantages are obvious: cost reduction not only for the measuring point, but also for the overall ownership.

The user can select two operating modes:

• Normal speed mode with a scan rate of 100 S/s, best suited for project monitoring or thermal testing of components
• High-speed mode with acquisition speed of 2,000 S/s, best suited for dynamic monitoring or experimental voltage analysis

 

QuantumX MXFS enables the integration of an impressive number of accurate and stable fiber optic measurements. FBG sensors are easy to install, electromagnetically safe and can also be used in highly explosive atmospheres. Measurements of voltage, temperature, acceleration, load and tilt are possible. With MXFS integration, the accuracy and possible range of applications for your measurements increases.

 

Easily combine optical technology with QuantumX DAQ
The new QuantumX MXFS BraggMETER module is both an optical interrogator and a set of tools for reliable system integration QuantumX DAQpopular for its flexibility, ease of use, modularity and precision. MXFS operates as a single module or as a synchronized system with other QuantumX modules.

Easy to set up highly flexible and precise measuring chain, simply "Plug and Measure", all necessary sensors - electrical and optical. The powerful catman® software or any other software with modern API drivers and LabVIEW can be used to analyze the data of all sensors used.

By combining these two powerful players, data information is easily processed in one system.

 

 

QuantumX MXFS: Full performance with catman

Like all QuantumX modules, MXFS is compatible with data acquisition software catman (DAQ) - version 5.4 or higher, allowing data visualization, analysis and storage during measurement and subsequent reporting.

The software has an extensive range of features and is easy to use even for users unfamiliar with the technology.

Catman software with MXFS as a standalone or in a measurement chain that acquires data through various QuantumX modules benefits your measurement in every way:

• Direct measurement of optical and electrical signals under the same interface
• Multi-page data visualization, parallel recording of measurement tasks, multiple exportable data formats, data stored locally or remotely
• Sensor configuration, data processing and message generation
• The catman software license is already pre-installed in the module. However, MXFS is open to any software using the modern API and LabVIEW driver.
