newLight FS61: Optical displacement/track sensor for linear position change measurement

Based on newLight® technology, the FS61 DSP is a robust Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensor designed to measure linear displacement/track on a variety of structure types. The sensor uses two FBG grids in a push-pull configuration for effective temperature compensation.

It can be used in a wide range of monitoring applications such as measuring retaining walls, bridge piles or buildings.

• Measuring range ± 40 mm
• 20 micrometer resolution
• Error due to temperature less than 2 micrometers/ºC
• Dual cables for serial connection
