RF9 strain gauge rosette for testing printed circuit boards

Due to their minimal dimensions, RF9 strain gauges are particularly suitable for PCB measurements and other locations where small strain gauge size is a consideration.

 

The smallest version of the miniature strain gauge RF9 has a dimension of only 5 mm thanks to three measuring grids placed one above the other. Due to its small diameter, it enables the determination of biaxial stress states with unknown principal stress directions even in the narrowest of spaces. The strain gauge is therefore particularly suitable for measurements on circuit boards or particularly small components.

 

The following options are available:

 

• Pre-fitted with thin enamelled copper wires (d=0.2 mm) and a particularly small measuring grid: 1-RF9x-0.8/120ZE

• Pre-wired with thin enamelled copper conductors and 1 mm² measuring grid (in accordance with JEDEC/IPC 9704): 1-RF9x-1/120ZE

• Pre-wired with 0.5 m enamelled copper conductors + 3 m of temperature resistant TPE cable (4-wire arrangement) and 2 mm² measuring grid (new and compliant with JEDEC/IPC 9704): 1-RF9x-1.4/350ZE

• No cable: 1-RF95-0.8/120_W

 

Miniature rosettes are now also available with geometries that allow measurements in accordance with JEDEC/IPC 9704.
