The MC2A/MC3 are attractively priced rugged amplifiers for inductance/tammetry sensors. Easy to install and operate.
The MC2A measuring amplifier with HBM inductance sensor support has two main objectives:
- Power supply of inductive half-bridge sensors by harmonic signal.
- Analog output from the sensor converted to +/- 5V output voltage for further processing.
A pair of precision resistors attached to the Wheatstone bridge completes the half bridge to full bridge. The power source for the inductance sensor is a 1.8V symmetrical excitation voltage with a carrier frequency of 5 kHz.
The MC3 measuring amplifier is used to power strain gauge full bridges. MC3 takes care of the power supply of the bridge, amplifies the output signal of the sensor. Voltage output +/- 5V directly proportional to the measured value.
MC2A/MC3 offers one adjustable level comparator with output (open collector).
It is also possible to retrofit the amplifier with a U/I converter with a current output of 4...20mA.
Key features:
- Cost-effective carrier frequency amplifier for powering inductance and strain gauge sensors
- Two switchable measuring ranges
- Integrated level comparator
- Easy installation and operation
- Robust duralumin housing with IP65 protection
Optional:
- converter with current output 4...20mA
