KMR+ Strain Gauge Washers: 11 capacities and IP68 rating

KMR+, like conventional washers, are suitable for mounting in bolted joints. Sensors are available for threads from M6 to M42 (forces up to 2 MN). KMRplus washers are equipped with special strain gauges that cover a very wide angle range, making them highly insensitive to bending moments. The sensors are suitable for fast dynamic and static measurements due to the use of strain gauge technology and high sensor stiffness.

Not only are the sensors made entirely of stainless steel, but they are also hermetically sealed (IP68 protection rating) to allow force measurement under harsh ambient conditions or outdoor/outdoor use. They provide maximum immunity to electromagnetic (EMC) interference due to the design of the cables and sensor body forming a Faraday cage.

Force insertion washers are included in the basic package of the sensor, but can also be purchased separately as a spare part. Different connectors and cable lengths can also be optionally offered to adapt to your measuring task.

KMRplus washers work as a force shunt, so calibration is required after installation to get quantitative results.
