KFU - strain gauges for high temperatures
The production of KFU strain gauges was discontinued.
KFU high temperature strain gauges: for temperature ranges up to +350°C
The KFU strain gauge series is the ideal choice for testing at extremely high temperatures up to 350°C (see data sheet).
The KFU strain gauges are already fitted with leads and are equipped with a 1 metre long high temperature cable. They are available with grid lengths of 2mm and 5mm, depending on the requirements of each application. In addition, they are available with self-compensation for ferritic steel, austenitic steel and aluminium. Typical applications include mechanical stress measurements on autoclaves or measurements in steam environments.
This product is offered in cooperation with Kyowa Electronic Instruments.
Key features:
- Temperature range: Up to 72 hours or less at 350°C or 360 hours or less at 300°C.
- Different strain gauge geometries - linear, R rosette, T rosette
- Different options for temperature self-compensation
- Already from the factory equipped with a high temperature cable 1m long
Adhesives: Maximum temperature of 350°C applies to strain gauges and accessories only; HBM offers EP310N adhesivewhich is suitable for applications up to 310°C. For higher temperature applications (up to 350°C), PI32 adhesive from Kyowa Electronic Instruments Co., LTD. (Japan) can be used.
Available accessories:
High/low temperature cable for KFU strain gauges
This high and low temperature cable is ideal for connecting KFU strain gauges. It consists of 3 twisted wires with a polyimide ceramic sheath. It can be used for internal connection of strain gauge bridges or for strain gauge connection via soldering lugs.

- Order No.: 1-L-17-3
Soldering points for KFU strain gauges
The KFU strain gauges are always supplied in a version with the wires connected without the need to use soldering points.
For special applications that require the use of solder loops at extremely high/low temperatures, this product is the right choice.
