eDrive - electrical measurement system
eDrive: power analyzers not only for electrical quantities for testing electric drives with inverters
The HBM eDrive series of power analysers offers unrivalled power calculation based on digital cycle detection. They therefore provide reliable results even under dynamic load changes where conventional power meters simply fail. With sufficient sampling frequency to cover all current inverter technologies, they can be expanded with more channels, higher sampling rates or other inputs to meet any needs you may encounter in the future.
- 3 to 51 measurement channels per analyzer frame
- Simultaneous collection of electrical, mechanical and bus data
- Real-time transfer of results to the automation system and real-time storage of raw data
HBM's eDrive solution covers the entire measurement chain: high-precision sensors, powerful tools and intuitive software. Mechanical signals (e.g. torque) and electrical signals (current and voltage) are acquired simultaneously, helping engineers to better understand the electric drive and its losses faster and more accurately than ever before.

eDrive performance analyzers for demanding R&D and system integration applications
The eDrive power analyzers offer 3, 6 or 9 power channels with a sampling rate of 2 MS/s; they can be expanded in the number of channels or by using inputs to measure mechanical quantities such as acceleration or temperature or by using input boards with higher sampling rates. They use Perception Enterprise/eDrive software, which offers the usability of a POWER METER combined with the flexibility of a DAQ system. The "t" frames are used with an external computer, while the "I" system includes an integrated WIN10 computer.
Depending on the frame type, options include an embedded SSD for raw data storage, multiple inputs for electrical quantities, additional inputs for mechanical signals such as acceleration or temperature, CAN inputs and outputs, real-time EtherCAT interfaces, a torque/speed junction box, an adapter for star-connected motors, current transducers, high voltage probes, and much more.
