DY (parallel linear)

DY strain gauges with 2 parallel measuring grids for measuring the bending stress of beams.

DY strain gauges consist of two measuring grids that are parallel to each other. A typical application for these strain gauges (SGS) is measurement on bent beams.

The parallel strain gauges DY1 and DY4 are available with a nominal (rated) resistance of 350 ohms, in various geometrical shapes and with temperature self-compensation for steel, aluminium or according to customer requirements (7 options for different materials - see strain gauge catalogue).

The measuring grid is made of constantan. The material of the measuring grid carrier is polyimide.

Strain gauges equipped with output cable - DY4 are also available.
