The DMP41 is the world's most accurate amplifier for strain gauge based measurements. The DMP series has been continuously developed by HBM for more than 30 years. It offers excellent long-term stability and ultra-modern, user-friendly features such as touch screen control.

The precision amplifier supports simultaneous measurement with multiple channels. In addition, the DMP41 offers even greater immunity to interference. Its state-of-the-art interface allows integration with modern laboratory network environments in a variety of ways. Metrology institutes can trust that they will get maximum accuracy.

Minimum deviations under high static loads are often measured in research and science as well as in the manufacture of high-precision components. The precision amplifier DMP41 demonstrates its advantages with high-precision comparative measurements of mechanical quantities. Many national testing institutes, including the German National Metrology Institute (PTB), use the DMP series for their own measurements; however, the technical advantages of the DMP41, such as accuracy, high resolution and long-term stability, are also important in the development, production and quality assurance of strain gauges.

 

 

DMP41 for rack/rack

HBM's DMP41 precision measuring instrument is also available in a 19″ case, which is available for purchase immediately. These versions have been specifically designed for rack mounting. Like the previous desktop case versions, the new models provide two or six channels for simultaneous measurement and can be ordered using part numbers 1-DMP41-E2 or 1-DMP41-E6.

Typical applications for these versions are the production of sensors and transmitters. They are mainly used in applications such as calibration and adjustment of strain gauge force, torque and pressure transducers as well as load cells and flow sensors when calibrated with load cells. The precision measuring instrument DMP41 ensures maximum accuracy even in industrial environments with high EMC requirements.

The DMP41 is used as a reference measuring instrument

The digital most accurate measuring instrument DMP41 is ideally suited for calibration tasks as it has the following features:

  • Long-term stability: high long-term stability of DMP41 has been demonstrated in many HBM tests. They confirm that already DMP39, the predecessor of DMP40 and DMP41, maintains an error band of ±5 ppm for more than 35 years. The long-term stability offered by the DMP41 is unique.
  • Electromagnetic compatibility: the DMP41 offers significantly higher immunity to electromagnetic interference than previous devices, withstanding electric field strengths up to 10V/m while maintaining an initial measurement accuracy of 5 ppm. Under these conditions, the predecessor of the DMP40 system could only guarantee a value of 50 ppm.
  • Automatic compensation of cable conditions: Due to the length of the cable, there is full compensation for voltage loss. This is done automatically by the amplifier with converters in a 6-wire circuit.
  • Background calibration: The DMP41 offers a patented "Background Calibration" function with continuous LIVE measurement.
  • Versatile interfaces: the DMP41 offers a choice of USB, Ethernet and, if required, RS-232 interfaces, making it easy to integrate with any laboratory environment.
  • Flexible filter functions: a powerful integrated digital signal processor (DSP) allows comprehensive adaptation of the filter parameters to the specific requirements of the measurement task. Users can choose from 13 filter frequencies with Bessel and Butterworth characteristics.
  • Convenient user interface: the DMP41 offers users flexible touch screen control. Control via keyboard or PC client is also possible.
  • Easy to use: switching between the two main operating modes "measurement mode" and "setup mode" is easy using the touch screen or F1 button on the cover, via the connected USB keyboard or the PC client included.
