CA80 - quick drying adhesive for strain gauges

Fast drying, single component, room temperature curing CA80 adhesive not only for experimental testing with strain gauges.

Due to its extremely fast curing time of just one minute at 20 °C, CA80 superglue is popularly used in many experimental test tasks for strain gauge installation. This cyanoacrylate adhesive is also used in the manufacture of sensors, although usually only when high accuracy is not required.

CA80 100% is the successor to the previously offered and time-tested adhesive Z70.

CA80 instant adhesive cures only in very thin layers. Since the moisture absorbed from the ambient air serves as a catalyst, the relative humidity should be approximately 40-70 %. In addition, the curing of this adhesive depends on the surface chemistry of the object to be bonded.

If the conditions for application are unfavourable (e.g. low relative humidity, acid reactive surfaces, low temperatures), it is recommended to additionally use an activator for cyanoacrylate adhesives of other manufacturers and then follow the procedure recommended for the activator.

CA80 cures very quickly under thumb pressure (0.5 minutes at 30 °C/86 °F, 1 minute at 20 °C/68 °F, 10 minutes at 5 °C/41 °F).
